Our Team
Rich Reinecke
Rich brings a unique blend of large corporate recruiting industry experience and a dynamic entrepreneurial spirit that allows him to work with a wide range of clients from emerging growth and middle market firms to Fortune 500 companies. He serves as the primary account manager for several Fahrenheit Finance clients.
After working with two of the largest search firms in the country, Rich started Career Quest, LLC in 2002 and it became a well-respected accounting and finance search and staffing firm in Richmond, VA. In 2010 Rich joined forces with Karen Adams, the Fahrenheit Group, and co-founding partner, Keith Middleton to launch Fahrenheit Finance.
Rich graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Marketing. He is very active in the business community and serves as president of The Venture Forum; is on the board of several organizations including Richtech and Financial Executives International Virginia Chapter; and is actively involved with Financial Executive Networking Group’s Richmond Chapter. Rich is also the co-founder of the Accounting & Finance Leadership Forum.
Keith Middleton
Keith works closely with the other partners and the leadership team to develop overall strategic direction for Fahrenheit Finance. He brings over 21 years of experience in accounting and finance to the business and serves as the primary account manager for several clients.
Previously, Keith was divisional CFO for Performance Foodservice, a $6 billion foodservice distributor with over 35 locations. He also held the position of SVP Controller for Performance Food Group, worked with Perdue Farms, and spent 12 years in public accounting —10 of which with Arthur Andersen. Keith performed a wide array of accounting and finance services throughout the years including acquisition due diligence, internal audit outsourcing, outsourced controller services, process improvement and internal control reviews, IT implementations, organizational restructurings, various securities related work and traditional audit services.
Keith graduated with a BS in Accounting with high honors from Lynchburg College. He has been involved with the March of Dimes for over ten years and is currently serving on the Virginia State Board of Directors.
Tracey Lowery
Tracey Lowery, a native to Richmond, joined Fahrenheit Finance in March 2010 as our Senior Resource Manager. His professional accounting and finance recruiting experience started with one of the largest firms in the industry in the mid nineties. Tracey built a strong reputation for delivering quality talent and has also put that experience to work in a Fortune 200 environment where he was a clear leader.
Our goal is to identify people that will make significant impacts for our clients, and Tracey shares our vision. Moreover, Tracey has a history of success working with clients both internally and externally to deliver the right people to promote overall business success. We are excited to have Tracey on our team and know our clients and consultants will appreciate working with him.
John Jacoby
We're very proud to have John Jacoby as part of the Fahrenheit Finance team. John Jacoby retired last June from Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he spent 25 years working with a wide variety of public and privately held companies. John served as an audit partner for clients in various industries including retail and wholesale distribution, manufacturing, government contracting and services; advancing to the level of Managing Partner. His friendship with his former client Keith Middleton led to him joining Fahrenheit Finance as a Senior Consultant.
John will work on-site with Fahrenheit Finance clients on a project-by-project basis. Primarily, John envisions working with companies that may not have a permanent CFO, that may be preparing to obtain some bank debt or preparing for a public equity offering.
John joined Deloitte & Touche LLP in 1985 becoming a partner in 1993 and managing partner in 1997. During his career with Deloitte he served clients both private and publically held in various industries including retail, manufacturing, transportation, wholesale distribution, government contracting, biotechnology and not-for-profit.
As Audit Partner, he was responsible for the overall performance of the audit. This included compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements, compliance with the reporting requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition he regularly advised his clients' Audit Committees regarding best in class corporate governance processes. John has worked with his clients on debt and equity offerings including initial public offerings, asset securitizations, carve out audits related to the sale of subsidiaries as well as the reviews of Forms 10-K, 8-K and 10-Q. He also regularly assisted his clients in the acquisition of other companies.
Clients served include McKesson Corporation, Advance Auto Parts, Overnite Transportation, Alstom Power, Biotage LLC, Amsec LLC, The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Comdial Corporation and Performance Food Group in addition to others.
Prior to joining Deloitte John worked in asset based lending with Bank of America and as an accountant with RECO Industries, Inc.
As for his retirement, that's still very much in the picture as John plans to spend the time that he's not working at his house in Kitty Hawk, NC. So if you need a little advice on what fish are running he can probably help you with that too!
Karen Booth Adams
Karen Booth Adams serves as CEO, creative visionary and business strategist for Fahrenheit. She brings a wealth of knowledge, entrepreneurial expertise, and a proven "Midas touch" to the business. Karen is also a partner in five successful firms based in Richmond. She is an investor in Ironworks Consulting, a project-based consulting firm and works closely with Genesis Consulting, RaceIt.com, and PartnerJD as an investor and advisor. Karen and is an active angel investor and entrepreneurial advocate in the community.
Her previous entrepreneurial successes include Computer Professionals, Inc. (CPi), which was acquired in 1993 by Modis. Her second venture, Tekna, an internet development company, was acquired by a larger national firm and IPO’d the following year. Karen's ever-popular, e-tail site PoshTots.com followed suit and was acquired by a public firm in 2006. Karen is an active community member and has served as a visiting professor on the subject of entrepreneurship for five years at the University of Richmond. She is an experienced speaker on the subject of successful entrepreneurship and buying and selling businesses. Karen has served as a board member for several nonprofit organizations and is a current member of the Executive Advisory Council for the University of Richmond. She is a 1990 graduate of the University of Virginia.
Alison Curtis
Alison Curtis manages the financial and accounting functions for Fahrenheit. She has spent the past 11 years working with Karen Adams and her partners managing the financial and accounting functions during the start-up years for Fahrenheit Technology, Ironworks Consulting, Genesis Consulting, PoshTots, PartnerJD, and US Raceworks.
Alison brings over 30 years experience and has worked for many highly successful individuals and companies during that time. Her accounting career began in 1980 when she went to work for CCA Industries. In 1982 she was promoted and given the opportunity to act as the director of accounting for one of its affiliate companies, North American Marketing, and in 1984 Alison was promoted to the position of controller. Alison joined Royall & Company as controller and worked her way up until 1996 to the position of chief operating officer and director of production services.
